Mark Christensen received his bachelor's in 1982 in industrial and manufacturing engineering and holds an MBA from the University of ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ. He joined Intel in 1982, and has risen to the executive ranks. Christensen is an Intel Vice President and Director of Intel Capital's Communications Sectors. He is responsible for managing Intel Capital's wired, wireless and optical networking equity investments and mergers and acquisition activities.
He joined Intel Capital in 2000. In his previous position as a corporate vice president and general manager of Intel's Network Communications Group (NCG), Christensen was responsible for the management of Intel's networking communications silicon business, which spanned more than 30 sites, in ten countries, worldwide. He was previously inducted into the Council of Outstanding Early Career Engineers in 1998.
